brunettes are sexy!
I'm back & reapplying. I quit all rating communities a long time ago but I need my fix, what can I say?

APPLICATION:

[Basics]

Name: Lindsay Delores Poveromo

Age: Eighteen

Location: Orlando, Florida for college but Parkland, Florida is my home.

Astrological Sign: Aquarius.

Marital Status: I've been dating my boyfriend, Aaron, for three years. We currently live together up here in Orlando. He's beautiful. ♥.

[Favorites]

Top 5 TV Shows: Golden Girls, Happy Days, The Andy Griffith Show, Leave It To Beaver, Roseanne. Yes, I only watch classic television. Laugh it up, my boyfriend does. :)

Top 5 Movies: Garden State, The Broken Hearts Club, I Am Sam, I Heart Huckabees, Thirteen Going On Thirty.

Top 5 Bands: Boys Night Out, Alkaline Trio, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, Robbie Williams.

Top 5 Foods: Chicken fingers, Spaghetti O's, Starbucks Java Chip ice cream, Popcorn, Golden Grahams.

[Indepth]

Describe yourself with 5 words: Creative, petite, colorful, spunky, intelligent.

What is your biggest pet peeve?: On a superficial note, this entire orange-tan thing going on (think Lindsay Lohan); on a deeper note, the lack of intelligence in this world, and how no one can ever seem to use proper grammar or spelling anymore.

What is your biggest disappointment?: That I can't seem to find a job up here, everything is taken. The disadvantages of living in a big, college town.

If you could change one thing about you, what would it be?: My sensitivity. I let people walk all over me and put me down all of the time. It feels good to do things I want to do because I can do them and not have to worry about what people say or think, or how they treat me.

What is the one thing that has kept you going, no matter what?: My writing. I've been writing since I was six, and when my book was published junior year of high school, I realized I did in fact have talent and potential. It's given me hope, self-esteem and the ability to spew out abreactions that otherwise would have been kept up inside.

Do you have a role-model? If so, who and why?: Robert Allan Zimmerman, more commonly known as Bob Dylan. Over the years, his talent as a poet and songwriter has been kept quite strong. His words touch you deep in your heart because he leaves open the power of interpretation so that you can associate his lyrics to any event within your life. The passion in his work is outstanding.

[Opinionated]

What's Your Opinion On...

War: In my ideal world, we could establish peace by merely communicating through words. I know this isn't real but I can't find myself giving the "okay" to war. I used to correspond with a friend who was in the service until his letters stopped coming. That's when I realized that these are people my age who have not yet experienced much in their life, and they never will. These are our children fighting, our neighbors, our friends, our family. It's a terrible thing, fighting death with death.

Homosexual/Bi-Racial Relationships: Love is love. When you know love first hand, the idea of people shutting the door on other people and thinking they should not experience such a wonderful thing is cruel and inhumane. For once I wish the human race could be unified. We are letting history repeat itself by singling out a group and taking away their rights.

Capital Punishment: Although I'm a ginormous liberal, I find myself for it in some cases. Those cases would be for trials like the Peterson trial. If someone is found guilty of murder, they deserve the utmost pain for what they did. If it's a crime such as stealing, I don't think death is very appropriate. Rape, however, I do believe is a crime worthy of death.

Premarital Sex: I'm one of those "wait until marriage" girls, though I do live with my boyfriend of three years. I think sex is a sacred thing, a precious thing and the ultimate act of love. While I am in love, I think the act of love should be saved until the utmost day of love, which would be the wedding night. My opinion is not based on any religion of any sort, as I am an athiest. It's simply the way I feel, that sex is treated like nothing nowadays. I'm not forcing my belief upon anyone, however; I'd never do that.

Religion: To each his own. I personally was raised in a half-Jewish and half-Catholic household, yet neither parent went to church or temple. We celebrated Hanukkah and Christmas, and I enjoy being able to have holiday spirit for an extra holiday!

Alcohol/Drugs: I've never tried alcohol, a drug or a cigarette and I never plan on it. I've seen it destroy a life, and it was a gut-wrenching experience. I've seen it take a life, and that was also when I became against it and couldn't form a relationship with anyone involved in any of the above things.

[Finally]

How did you find the community?: I was a member long ago. I gave up on rating communities but realized I could only stay away for so long! So, here I am again.

Are you a natural brunette?: Always. Only my hair is black now, but it counts, right?

Why should we accept you?: You know I'm active. I've always been. I'm a fair voter, too.

Promote the community to another community or to another LJ user. Who did you promote it to?: a_m_f.

Yes.
I typed NO first, but then thought about my answer again...I decided yes, because I loved your application. FINALLY, someone that can speak/type properly. It was a breath of fresh air.

I was going to say no because of the Mimi-like eyeshadow. Sweetheart, you have these amazingly beautiful eyes. I dont understand why you take away from them with all that disgusting makeup. Maybe it is because you are still young, hopefully one day you will figure out that you are naturally beautiful and dont need it.

Re: Yes.
Oh, thank you for the mind change! I'm well aware I don't "need" make-up, but it's like a painter paints on canvas, I work with make-up. I hope to attend cosmetology school after college. I won't walk out with an entire face done-up, sometimes I like to do it merely for photographic purposes. It's just for fun, no worries!

Re: Yes.
I am glad you didnt take offense to that. I know that there are girls out there that are never told how beautiful they are, and in turn, cake on all this makeup. Good luck with the cosmetology school though. I sometimes see pictures with a womans makeup done a certain way and try to do it myself but often times end up looking like a clown.

Re: Yes.
Oh no, I wouldn't take offense to it.

I only do "glam" make-up for photo purposes, sometimes for friends when they go to a special occasion and my sisters ice skating shows and whatnot. I don't even wear face makeup on a daily basis unless I'm taking photos or getting all dressed up. I do have talent with make-up and I'm fascinated by it, but I don't have the effort to do it everyday, haha! :)
